Typical barriers include limited access to capital and opportunity, fragmented markets, low levels of social capital, weak business management capacity, and limited access to productivity-enhancing and market-enabling technologies.
Our ecosystem development expertise draws on experience in MSME program design and implementation. We have played a role in reshaping the finance and investment landscape at a systems level in East Africa—resulting in transformative change at scale.
